EAST OF EDEN AND SINAI AND SCIENCE BEHIND THEIR ACTIVITIES

The Hebrew Scriptures mention twice the phrase "earth opened its mouth." And these are important because by locating them we can determine the whereabouts of the east of Eden where Cain and Abel with their parents, Adam and Eve, lived, and of Sinai.
The opening of earth's mouth was coincided with Cain murdering his sibling, Abel.

"And now you are cursed from the earth, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand" -Genesis 4:11

The place of this incident was east of the Garden of Eden, in the same land where Adam was taken from. In this land was the first planting of wheat, which is also confirmed by science. In 7000 BCE cereals here were native because no man has yet domesticating them. It was only during the time of Adam when they were cultivated by man.

All of the early agricultural crops, according to Los Angeles Times, appear to have been domesticated in Karaca mountains. How did they know?
In a scientific study by Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research, it's discovered that the genetic ancestor of all domesticated Einkorn wheat have originated in the mountains of Karaca, and they found out that the genetically common ancestor of 68 contemporary types of cereal still grows as a wild plant on the slopes of Mount Karaca (37°40′12″N 39°49′48″E).

The researchers reported that the wheat was first cultivated near the Karacadag Mountains in southeastern Turkey, where chickpeas and bitter vetch also originated. Bread wheat—the most valuable single crop in the modern world—grapes and olives were domesticated nearby, as were sheep, pigs, goats and cattle.”

(Hotz, R.L., Scientists Follow a Grain to the Origins of Agriculture, Los Angeles Times, 14 November 1997; Heun, Manfred; et al. [November 1997]. "Site of Einkorn Wheat Domestication Identified by DNA Fingerprinting" [PDF]. Science. 278 [5341]: 1312–1314. Bibcode:1997Sci...278.1312H. doi:10.1126/science.278.5341.1312)

The rivers of Pihon (Bahiani), Gihon (Gozan), Euphrates, and Tigris are all connected to the region of Karaca, and therefore there is a biblical geographic corroboration that indeed the first domesticating planting Einkorn wheat was in Karaca region, as the Garden was located there.

"Therefore YHWH God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the
Adamah [Ground]

from whence he was taken. So He drove out the man; and He placed to the east of the

Gan Eden [fenced/garden of Eden]

Cherubims, and a

flaming

chereb [sword],

overthrowing every way, to keep the way of the Tree of Life." -Genesis 3:23-24

Near the way to Garden of Eden was a chereb that overthrowing its flame every way, and yes, there was a volcano in Karaca, the place where planting of domesticated Einkorn wheat began. German magazine Der Speigel suggests that the Garden of Eden was likely in that area.
This theory is actually an accurate one, as what we have already proved, the four rivers that watered the Garden mentioned in Genesis 2:10-14 are all connected to Karaca region. One of its mountains is called "Mesha" in Genesis 10:30, also known "Masia" and "Masius." In addition to Haran, prophet Isaiah (37:12) locates it near Habur.
Prophet Ezekiel (28:13-18, 27:23) describes the Garden of Eden as "the holy mountain of God," and called that "mountain" as guarded by "kerubh hasokek" ("covering cherub"). He locates it near Harran and Ashur, whereas prophet Amos (1:5) mentions Eden together with Aram (Syrian country). Since Dilmun (Diyarbakir), the source of copper of Assyrians, Garden of Eden on its west was considered part of Assyria, and in fact one of its rivers (Tigris) runs to east, to Assyria (Gen 2:14).
The mountain of God, Garden of Eden, was called "covering Kerub."
Cherub is sounding "choreb" ("Horeb"), a volcano in ancient Hebrew language from "charab," derived from the root "arab" ('desolate,' 'heat,' wilderness').
The way to the Tree of Life was covered by the overthrew flames of a chereb.

Landsat imagery suggests that some lava flows, particularly those on the east flank, may perhaps be only a few thousand years old (Pearce et al., 1990. Genesis of collision volcanism in eastern Anatolia, Turkey. J. Volcanol. Geortherm. Res. 44: 184-229).

Our indirect means to determine the date is what our way to know the date of Sinai melting during Moses' time (Num 26:10, Judg 5:5).
It is apparent that famine followed after the melting or pouring out of fire of Sinai, and it was first reported by Moses in the incident of 1228 BCE, and like on what had happened in Eden, highways through Sinai were not passable.

"And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up together with Korah, when that company died, what time the

fire

devoured 250 men: and they became a sign." -Numbers 26:10

According to Moses, Horeb (a mount in Sinai) was between Kadesh-barneah and Seir (Deut 1:2). Deborah located Sinai mountains in the field of Edom, particularly near Seir.

"YHWH, when You went out of Seir, when You march out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, and the heavens dropped, the clouds also dropped water. The

mountains melted

from the front of YHWH, even that

Sinai

from before YHWH God of Israel. In the days of Shamgar Ben-Anath, in the days of Jael, the highways were unoccupied, and the travellers walked through byways." -Judges 5:4-6

The good thing is that we can visit the exact place where the earth opened its mouth, in the area now known Makhtesh Ramon, located between Kadesh-barneah and Seir in the field of Edom.

The Sinai effect, the drought or weather disturbances its caused both in atmosphere and land is possibly determined by the quantities of plants, particularly fossil pollens embedded in the soil of Mediterranean, particularly Levant region.
And yes, Finkelstein and other scientists who studied the said remains of plants' fossil pollens, discovered that indeed during Rameses II's time, there was a 50-year great famine in Mediterranean region.
Using their graph, we can know that there were another famines and hence droughts in 1850s BCE and c.2350 BCE. We can infer from this graph that there was another opening of the earth's mouth in c. 2350 BCE, probably because of the volcanic eruption/s in Karaca Dag.

Why there were openings of earth's mouth in Sinai (Makhtesh Ramon) and east of Eden's Garden (Karaca Dag)?

As what we can see from regional tectonic map of the northern Syria and Dead Sea fault system, there are major strike-slip fault in Karaca mountains and in Makhtesh Ramon, and scientists unknowingly discovered what can corroborate the biblical reports of opening of earth's mouth. There was a strike or series of strike of plates near Karaca region that may cause soil erosion or opening of the earth's mouth there, in the same manner that seismic activities in Makhtesh Ramon has resulted to the largest soil erosion on earth.
The evidence of the earth that has absorbed Abel's blood is still there in Karacadag.
Can we find there the Garden of Eden?

According to prophet Ezekiel the plants of Eden were gone down to the deep parts of the earth.

"Behold, the Assyrian was a cedar in Lebanon with fair branches, and with a shadowing shroud, and of an high stature; and his top was among the thick boughs. The

cedars in the

garden of God

could not hide him: ... nor any tree in the garden of God was like unto him in his beauty. I have made him fair by the multitude of his branches: so that all the

trees of Eden,

that were in the garden of God, envied him. To the end that none of all the trees by the waters exalt themselves for their height, neither shoot up their top among the thick boughs, neither their trees stand up in their height, all that drink water: for they are all delivered unto death, to the nether parts of the earth, in the midst of bene-Adam [sons of Adam], with them that go down to the pit hole. Thus says Adonai YHWH; In the day when he went down to the grave I caused a mourning: I covered the deep for him, and I restrained the floods thereof, and the great waters were stayed: and I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, and all the trees of the field fainted for him. I made the nations to

shake

at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to hell with them that descend into the pit: and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, shall be comforted in the nether parts of the earth. To whom you are thus like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? yet you shall be brought down with the

trees of Eden unto the nether parts of the earth:

you shall lie in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that be slain by the sword... " -Ezekiel 31:3,8-9,14-16,18

According to this passage the trees of Eden were brought down to the lowest בֽוֹר (bowr) or pit hole in the midst of the sons of Adam after the sound of this erosion vibrated the cities around it. This could be the reason why the sons or inhabitants of Eden transferred to Tellasar known also as Viransehir (Hor Hassar/Tella) or even to Beth Eden/Bit Adini (Isa 37:12).

"... the earth, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood..." -Genesis 4:11

The biblical report that earth's mouth in the east of Garden of Eden had opened and that trees in Eden were brought down to the lowest pit hole is backed up with geographic terrain evidence, which shows the literal huge hole that resulted to a cave. The outpoured million-year and hundred thousand-year old flames shielded the area of 10,000² km in around 2350 BCE when Adam and Eve were demoted from the Garden.
Photographs taken by Landsat on the east flank of the erupted materials show that the lava flows there are likely be only a few thousand years old. During prophet Ezekiel's time, or more accurately during the time of the first king of Tyre, forming stones in the Garden of Eden were flaming (Eze 28:13-14). This could be an indicative of an active volcanic lava flow. King Amenhotep II called this region as "ta netjer" or "Land of God" (inscribed on the pharaoh's war chariot in the Theban tomb-chapel of Qenamun). Corroborating that designation, prophet Ezekiel called it "mountain of God."
